At 25, Léo Ange already has a past in the entertainment and music industry. Thrust into the spotlight and onto the airwaves at the age of 9, he nurtured his early talent on television sets and took part in several projects* until 2014.
Free from an industry that readily shapes young talents, Léo Ange now asserts himself as an independent artist and follows his own path. Released from the expectations attached to his early years, he unveiled Team in 2022, a first track with hip-hop influences. With vivid energy and sharp writing, he explored a new artistic identity, later extended through other singles with pop and R&B accents.

In 2023, he moved to Brussels to immerse himself in the Belgian electronic scene and deepen his musical practice with the Magma collective, working alongside artists such as ECHT!, Tukan and Bleu Mustang.
Back in France, he began a residency at L’Hacienda in Tarare with his guitarist Tanguy Moiroux, and played his first concerts as a singer-songwriter.
At the same time, he completed his master’s degree at Sciences Po Lyon while finalising his debut EP Off My Chest, released in February 2024 under his first stage name, Leo Rispal.
With this first body of work, Leo revealed his earliest compositions, written as he was emerging from adolescence, using English as a key to a more unrestrained form of expression. From a very young age, he had been drawn to and immersed in American pop culture.
At the age of 6, during a school trip, he discovered Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz. A revelation.
At 12, he became fascinated by Andy Warhol, Basquiat and Keith Haring, figures that shaped his teenage years alongside icons such as Patti Smith, Robert Mapplethorpe, Joni Mitchell and Stevie Nicks. Contemporary artists including Beyoncé, Charli XCX and Anohni and the Johnsons have also fed into his eclectic musical universe. This attraction to pop culture allows him to grasp it in all its nuances, excesses and flashes of brilliance.
In 2025, Léo marked a major turning point by choosing his two given names as his stage name: Léo Ange.
This rebirth is followed in 2026 by a debut EP, produced in London by Michael Lovett (Metronomy, NZCA LINES) and conceived as a bridge between pop music and underground influences. A work of emancipation, affirming the musical and personal identity of a dandy under neon lights. Its first single, So Good!, was released on 8 July 2026.
